James Lesure portrays Mike Cannon on the TV series Las Vegas. His previous roles including playing Mel Ellis on For Your Love series and made a brief cameo in the horror sequel, The Ring 2.

He is also known for his guest appearances on many different US TV series, including Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip, Seinfeld, Alias, NYPD Blue and The Drew Carey Show. He also guess starred on the show Lost in the 3rd season finale. An early movie appearance was in the thriller Crimson Tide where he played the credited role of a guard on board the Nuclear Submarine Crimson Tide.
