After finding a photo of Adam and a Jessi look-a-like locked in Baylin’s box, Kyle and Declan realize that the best way to crack the mystery of Jessi is to get close to her at the high school charity event. The event is to raise money for cancer patients, which 'hits a nerve' so to speak with Josh who is still trying to deal with Andy having cancer. Josh decides that he wants to try and win the hybrid (a Toyota Prius) for Andy to show how much he cares for her. However, Josh isn't one of the lucky ones who win the raffle and are given a chance to win the car. Though that doesn't stop him, he buys a winning ticket off a guy so he can join Kyle, Jessi and the other contestants who will be vying for the car. Kyle realizes that this is the perfect opportunity for him to talk with Jessi and figure out more about her. After predicting to Josh that a few contestants will dropout from the competition he is able to talk one-on-one with Jessi. He tells her that he wants to help her etc and gets her to reveal a little about her self. They have a few moment throughout the episode talking and such. At this time Lori calls Amanda and tells her that she needs to get down to the event and support Kyle to show Jessi that she can't have him, Lori is obviously still bitter towards Jessi.

With Lori's encouragement Amanda goes to the contest to bring Kyle a survival kit of sorts as well as offer her support, though in reality she wants to keep an eye on him as well as look her best to. Hilary is creating an audition tape for a reality show and so she is acting as a journalist. Though really she is just trying to find dirty secrets about the contestants. Though Lori is supporting her search, especially towards finding info about Jessi. (wikipedia.org)
